KRU envisions itself as a fine and leading higher education institute in the western region of the country. The expected goal is to be the learning resources and academic foundation of the locality under its good governance and effective administration. The University plays an active and participative role in strengthening the well-being of people in its communities through the practice of "Sufficiency Economy Philosophy". The university also aims for increasing competitive capacity of the country.
